Renner in Brasil Eco Fashion Week with unprecedented partnership with Repassa

Renner, for the 5th time, was the master sponsor of Brasil Eco Fashion Week, which had its 6th edition in São Paulo from December 1st to 6th. Brasil Eco Fashion Week is the first fashion week in Latin America dedicated exclusively to the fashion industry with sustainability attributes. The partnership is in line with consistent sustainability work not only made by Renner, but also by Lojas Renner S.A.: the company delivered its first cycle of public commitments in 2021 and announced new bold goals to be achieved by 2030.

Renner highlighted collections with sustainability attributes in a special area dedicated to showcase its inniatives. In addition, it participated in two panels: “Renner + Comas = Creative Collaborations”, with the participation of Ana Cecilia Anselmi, senior research manager at Renner, and Agustina Comas, a consultant specializing in fabric reuse and upcycling techniques; and “A Search for the Circular Economy in Large Production Chains”, with the participation of Eduardo Ferlauto, general manager of Sustainability at Lojas Renner S.A.

But the highlight of Brasil Eco Fashion Week was the innovation that took place among the brands of Lojas Renner S.A.: Renner invited Repassa to organize the first second hand store show in Brazil! Repassa is the largest online second hand store in the country. Founded in 2015, it was acquired by Lojas Renner S.A. in 2021.

The parade represented circularity through stories of pieces that had already been used by other people – and that, in the end, were for sale to the general public. The models were diverse, also representing the social pillar that Lojas Renner S.A. has been working along its sustainability journey. In addition to demonstrating the importance and multiple possibilities of reusing parts, the fashion show encouraged conscious consumption.
