Lojas Renner S.A. is part of the Dow Jones Sustainability Index again

Our company was once again recognized by the market and appears for the eighth time in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index. The index is a global reference in corporate sustainability when evaluating the ESG practices of the largest publicly traded companies, from different sectors of the economy. This year we are number two in world retail, number one in fashion retail, and we are listed in two index categories for the second consecutive year: DJSI World and DJSI Emerging Markets.

In addition, also in 2022, we ranked third overall among companies in the Corporate Sustainability Index (ISE B3). The ISE B3, a pioneer in Latin America, aims to support investors in making investment decisions, encouraging companies to adopt good sustainability practices.

We also recently reached the AA scale on the MSCI ESG Ratings, above 71% of retail companies worldwide. And we reached a score of 4.1 out of 5 in FTSE4Good, in addition to low risk in Sustainalytics – with a percentile of 11.9 out of 100. In the Carbon Disclosure Project, we achieved a score of A- in 2022, a result of leadership in the Climate Change Program

Being featured in these indexes is a source of pride for us, and reflects important actions in our journey. In 2021, we delivered our first cycle of public commitments in sustainability, with goals achieved. And we already have new commitments for 2030, with even bolder goals seeking to fight climate change and work with an increasingly responsible supply chain. In addition, actions such as our circular stores, investment in renewable energy, resale suppliers with socio-environmental certification, social responsibility actions make our company more responsible and can perhaps inspire other businesses.

These recognitions reinforce the consistency and relevance of our commitment to environmental, social and corporate governance issues, within our responsible fashion strategy.
