Lojas Renner S.A. history as an independent company from A. J. Renner group starts in 1965. Two years later, still present regionally, it became a publicly-traded company.
The transition from a family to a professional company started in the 90s, and in 1998 J. C. Penney Brazil Inc., a subsidiary of one of the largest US department store chains acquired the control, initiating an intense national expansion plan. With the public offer of shares in B3, in 2005 Lojas Renner S.A. became the first Brazilian company with 100% of its capital pulverized, listed in the New Market, the highest level among the differentiated levels of corporate governance.
Today, it is the largest fashion retail company in Brazil present countrywide with Renner, a fashion store for different styles that started the company; Camicado stores, a home and decor company; and Youcom, specialized in fashion for the young. Also, Realize Crédito, Financiamento e Investimento S.A. (“Realize CFI”) is affiliated to Lojas Renner S.A.
